And just like that we have completed our first week of fundraising. We have a nice starting pace with schoolwide participation (everyone creates a page) at 51%.
If you have not set up your student’s Personal Fundraising Page yet, do so NOW
at: https://hiddenvalleyfunrun.myevent.com.
Then send out the link and ask those distant relatives and long lost friends to support our lovely school. All money raised goes right back into HV, think school wide events, student clubs, weekly social emotional instruction, our school garden and much more!
If your student hasn’t informed you, there are plenty of contests going on at school to encourage participation!
Week 1 Contest winners are:
Mrs. Workman’s class won the homework pass with 95% of their pages set up! Kredo, Murdoch, Selby and Sottile can still make up the distance with just a few pages left. Who will be the first class to 100%!?
Elle Brooks (Brandt) and Maggie Arenas (Horky) understood the assignment and posted their best Hawk selfie and why they love HV on their Fun Run page. Both will each pick a joke for the school PA message!
Don’t miss also checking out these creative Hawk’s pages, and all your fellow Hawk’s pages:
Stella Matson (Griffin)
Meenu Duraisamy (Horky)
Sam Wilson (Kredo)
Scotty Lo (Murdoch)
Paige Wingfield (Murdoch)
Muir Van Zant (Schnell)
Arjun Duraisamy (Workman)
Raffle winners of the Hawk Goodie bag are:
Joey Coughlin (Da Cunha)
Avalon Koelman (Hirsch)
Edie Lawryk (Schnell)
Now for Week 2’s contests…
-
Everyone who has at least one donor by the end of week 2, will be entered into a raffle for a Scoop/Swirl gift card.
-
The best class motto, logo or # (as voted by Mrs. Fish) will win a class PJ day.
-
The first class(s) to 100% participation at the end of the week will win a class movie day.
If you’d like to be a part of the action for the day of the run on Friday, October 13th we have some volunteer shifts still available. Please find the Sign Up HERE . Thank you for your support!

The YES Tommy Breeze collab event is back THIS TUESDAY at 5:30!
This was one of everyone's favorite YES events last year, and this week it's coming back! Come join us at Creekside Park with popular local artist Tommy Breeze. Tommy will have a big selection of hats to choose from and he will sew a custom Tommy Breeze YES patch onto the hat in the spot of your choosing while you wait.
Creekside Pizza will be donating 10% of proceeds during the event to YES, and Amy's will be selling shakes and donating some of their proceeds as well. Come and customize your ideal head topper, support a local artist, and support arts and music education at HV!!
